Tellico River

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

I've often posted pictures of Little River in the Smoky Mountains, but Betsy and I have another river that we enjoy exploring -- the Tellico River in Cherokee National Forest near Tellico Plains, Tennessee.

I am pictureing you and Betsy in a bright yellow boat, rafting down these rapids. JUST KIDDING.

It is beautiful though not as great as Niagara fall.

During this heat wave, you perhaps should go to these cool rivers and leave the hiking at home. I know it is not easy at this time with Betsy
s knee, and trust she is doing okay.

That's a beautiful spot George! It looks very cool and refreshing with the terrible heat we have had this week. Thank you for sharing photos of your favorite spots.

I think that river would be great for wild rafting. What a serene and quiet place to bond with mother nature.
