Our First Glimpse of the Grand Canyon

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

This is a picture of our first view of the Grand Canyon. We entered the park from the east because we had read that end of the park offered the best views of the Colorado River. This picture was taken at the Desert View overlook.

Beautiful view, and you were fortunate enough to get some nice clouds in there to enhance the photo. Nice framing with the trees in the foreground too.

That first glance is indeed awesome. I'll never forget that feeling when I first saw it.
A great picture, but no picture can do it justice.

Beautiful shot George. I remember back when Ben and I were dating, we went to the Grand Canyon and camped for a few days. It was so much fun and will always be one of my precious memories of my dear late husband.

Great photo, George. I don't think I can ever see too many photos of that spectacular place. I have been there three times and each time it's an awesome experience.

It is a magic place wherever you see it from. The North Rim was spectacular too as well as the helicopter flight in from the east. It is so much bigger than I imagined.(Everything in America was big)

Thanks for visiting The Gardening LIfe. My garden was unscathed by the storm. Thanks for asking.

Now this is one place I'd love to visit. Ever since I watched Eval Kineval attempt to jump it in a rocket when I was a kid I've been amazed by the place.

What I'd give for a 'first glimpse'!
I scrolled down George and see you still have some amazing flowers in your yard.
