Carlotta is one of the re-blooming day lilies we have in our front yard. We feel very fortunate to be able to enjoy these beautiful blossoms twice each year.

As a die-hard Tennessee Vol, Betsy doesn't think much of the Alabama Crimson Tide. But even Betsy admits that this day lily, Bama Bound, is a beauty. It grows near the back of our house where we can enjoy it from our deck.

One of the nice things about summer at our house is the roses. We have a large variety of colors and fragrances. This classy rose is appropriately named Touch of Class.

Wildfire is one of the brightest roses in our yard. When these red-orange blossoms open it is almost impossible to overlook this rose.

It's sometimes difficult to pin Betsy down as to what her favorite is when it comes to some of our flowers. But there is no doubt that her favorite iris is Tennessee Vol. I'm not sure if she's attracted mostly by the name or by the color, but in any case it's a beautiful iris.

The Fourth of July is celebrated in grand style here in the Glade. There is a community fireworks display attended by people of all ages.

Betsy and I have many different flowers in our yard, but we both rate roses as our favorites. This is Tiffany, a rose we have enjoyed for a couple of years now.
