Garvan Woodland Gardens

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is a beautiful place to visit in the Spring.  Betsy and I have stopped there a couple of times on our way to 'our' cabin on Mt. Nebo.  The trails through the gardens are beautiful, and we've enjoyed daffodils, tulips, and of course, azaleas.  Garvan Gardens also has an extensive rose garden which can be enjoyed later in the year.

Mt. Nebo Sunrise

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

If you've followed this blog for any length of time you know how much Betsy and I enjoy Mt. Nebo in Arkansas and the sunsets we see from 'our' cabin.  But the sunrises are also pretty special.  We have to get up early enough to get to Sunrise Point, but as this photo shows, it is well worth the effort.

Remembering March Blue Skies

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Beautiful blue skies have been in short supply in the Glade this year.  It seems as if Old Man Winter just wants to keep sticking around.  I went to my archives to remember what March blue skies look like.  This picture was taken three years ago.

Busy As A Bee

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Spring must be here when bees are busy in our redbud tree.  I got this picture on a pretty Spring day last March.

Mt. Nebo Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Mt. Nebo Falls is a pretty little waterfall near the top of Mt. Nebo in Arkansas.  It requires a short, steep hike to get to the base of the falls, but we think it is worth it.

Mon Cherie Daffodil

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

One of the nice things about March on the Plateau is that daffodils are making their appearance and announcing that Spring is here.  This beauty is called Mon Cherie and I think it looks beautiful after a light Spring shower.

Cumberland Mountain Dam

The dam and bridge at Cumberland Mountain State Park near Crossville, Tennessee, is the largest masonry project built by the Civilian Conservation Corp.  The seven-arch bridge carries the road over the dam.
