Are You Looking at Me?

Betsy I noticed this rather fierce-looking bird near our feeders yesterday afternoon. It took us a while to realize that it was a juvenile robin. Daddy Robin came over after awhile and gave him some food. The juvenile eventually left, but he sure gave us something to look at while he was there.

That face made me laugh so hard...he looks cranky, like he has not had his morning coffee yet!!!

Nice hairdo! That's just like some chicks & ducklings...they go through a real ugly stage growing up! Nice shot!

Would have fooled me for sure! Now that I know it's a young robin I can see a resemblance...sort of.

He does look funny with those feather tufts on the side of his head. I would never have guessed he's a baby robin.

I love Robins and leave the leaves on the ground so they can pull at the worms underneath in winter.
They are darling birds:)

How interesting. It actually looked like an old bird at first with those white feathers sticking up over it's eyes like that. :-)
