Western North Carolina Mountains

Friday was a very cloudy day in western North Carolina; we even had a shower in the afternoon. But in spite of the clouds (or maybe because of them) the mountains were still majestic. The picture above was taken at an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Mount Pisgah.

Looks gorgeous to me, George. I bet it was cooler in the mountains than at home. ;-)

I never tire of scenes like this -either of your Tennessee Mts. or my WV ones!

Those mountains do have a tinge of blue to them, don't they! I'd love to drive around there and explore. Looks like you picked a great overlook to take your photo from. Thanks for stopping by at my MM shot. Hi from hot and sunny San Ramon...
