An Experiment

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

I was experimenting with manual settings on my camera with my macro lens using one of our roses that was still blooming as a subject. This is more 'artistic' than the photos I normally take, but I like the color and the folds of the half-open bud.

Very pretty and almost an underwater look. Very waverly (I know-not a word but it fits).
My daughter showed me some different setting on my camera and I was amazed I could do all that but I just put it on Auto and shoot away. MB

The color variations on this are beautiful, very subtle, and I like the angle. You should experiment more!!

I like the shot a lot, too. I need to find time and sit down and play with my camera - - - but first, I really, really need to make sure it is on auto settings before I click each time. I missed some good stuff today.

You always exceed yourself George This is a fantastic shot. Guess you don;t have frost yet. We don;t usually but today the ice seems not to be melting.
In November.... We don't usually have anything like this till end of January.
