Cataloochee Valley Fog
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
In October Betsy and I went to Cataloochee Valley in North Carolina to see the elk. The elk were there, but so was fog. There are no elk in this field, but I like the fog trying to hide the mountains at the end of the valley.

Betsy and I will be taking a blogging break for the next few days. But we hope you will all have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.

A wonderful photo. We really had the fog at our house yesterday. It has been quite a week for strange weather. Merry Christmas.
So you and Betsy will be hiding behind the fog for the next few days?

I love misty fog shots George and this one is wonderful! I enlarged it and could see the road. What fun it must have been to travel there.
I'll check back to see if you've posted before Christmas but if not a Merry and Blessed Christmas to you and Betsy as well!

Beautiful colors .I guess the Elk come out in the evening or early dawn.
A wonderful place! The fog gave a charm to the picture...
Have a nice weekend.
Kisses.
The fog adds a bit of mystery to this photo.
Merry Christmas, George!
I love the fog in the valley. It looks like cotton candy in a dish. The red in those plants is a beautiful contrast.
Same happened to me when I went to Nova Scotia, we had lots of fog, and it was hard to find a wild life.
George, also I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let it be filled with love, peace and good health. Best wishes for 2011.
Take care and I will see you blogging next year.
Anna :)
