We had a very cold and snowy Christmas weekend here in the Glade. This picture of ice-coated trees in our yard was taken last year, but I needed the reminder that even wintry weather can be beautiful.

I think that iced trees are remarkable looking. Hard to believe that the ice can be so heavy when it looks so lacy.

I like those crisp, cold, but clear and blue-sky days. The ice coating always makes it sort of ethereal.
Wintery weather is gorgeous - - - just cold and dangerous at times! However, I prefer the cold to the hot, hot summers.

It does give you a greater appreciation for the weather doesn't it. Its been really warm here in Oklahoma that I have to keep reminding myself its actually winter. You'll hear no complaints on the weather from me. =)
When I was young and gowing up in Borneo, I always wonder if the trees will die from the cold.
Then I went to Canada, and saw how resilient the trees were.

When I saw the wind sock, I I only thought it was to tell the sailors how strong thewind was.
