Shadows and Light
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Betsy and I visited Mount Mitchell in North Carolina a couple of weeks ago. The day was cloudy (and chilly), but the clouds broke up enough to let blue sky be seen and to create patterns of shadow and light on the mountains below.
That place has an amazing 360 degree view. (I remember stopping there and discovering I had left my wallet at a stop about 5 miles south...it was still there!) Nicely captured photo!
I'm a happily married retiree living on the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee. I taught for 31 years and worked as a systems analyst for 9 years before retiring.

Beautiful, George!
That is beautiful. To me it looks like clouds reflecting in water. Really a nice shot!!!
nothing better than extremely large christmas trees against a stunning blue sky. love those trees!
I like the landscape below, too!
I know you often participate in Sky Watch. This would make a great sharing.
Love the shadows and light picture! You and Betsy are both excellent photographers.
Wonderful, dramatic clouds sure do complement that awesome landscape!
