The Painted Desert from Tawa Point

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

The day we visited Petrified Forest National Park was about as perfect as a day could be -- a clear blue sky with a few white clouds and bright sunshine lighting up every color and hue of the Painted Desert. This picture was taken at Tawa Point.

This is a gorgeous photo George. I am always amazed what the camera is able to capture compared to what I see. The colors are truly magnificent!

The one thing that keeps going through my head when I look at all the lovely images like this from you and Betsy is I just wouldn't have enough time to really go exploring at each and every site.I don't know how you left one beautiful place for the next. :)
That blue sky certainly sets off the color of the desert.
Gorgeous!

Gorgeous as usual but we have come to expect nothing less. How would you like to see that as a jigsaw puzzle? It would sure try a person's patience.
