Stepping Back in Time

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

While in the Italian Garden at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, I captured this reflection of the house in one of the pools. The monochrome image seems to take me back in time to the late 1890s, when the house was built.

Pretty image and yes, it's fun to think back to the days when the mansion was new!

History is always in black and white.

Because memory starts to fade?

I like the idea of the monochrome taking you back in time! Nice, George.

1880's eh? Well if it had been taken then, it would predate one of my favorite photographers --Ansel Adams.

But this does have a timeless look about it. Nicely shot, George.

I love these shots of ponds and the life living in them.
They are wonderful places to stop and repose, reflect and rejuvenate.
