Falls on Waters Creek

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

This photo, from my archives, is of the Falls on Waters Creek near Turner's Corner, Georgia. We drove back into the Chattahoochee National Forest along a 'lovely' Forest Service road to reach the falls. The waterfall was beautiful, and we were very glad that our Prius could do a wonderful imitation of a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Uwielbiam patrzeć na spadającą wodę i jej szum. Pozdrawiam.
I love to look at the falling water and the noise. Yours.

Those service roads are fun if the car has a light load, but when we're camping and our minivan is stuffed to the gills, I'm afraid of what could happen to our suspension.

I thought about buying a Prius once. The thing I couldn't get past was that it didn't have power windows. I like power locks and windows. Guess what... the car I drive every day has neither. (robust laugh)

The best places to visit are the ones not visited often by people and sometimes cars take a beating. I am glad yours didn't finding this gem.

Looks like the drought many have seen didn't happen there - lots of water - lovely!

Hi George, another spectacular photo. Weather extremely hot, so nice to dip in the cooling water. LOL

Have a nice weekend. Regards to you and your spouse.

Such lovely falls...they don't have to fall ten stories to be beautiful! I know what you mean about getting through windy off-road places in a non-4-wheel drive! We HAVE a jeep which my husband has to go back to Va to pick up (it was getting much-needed repairs last year when we left) so he's going to go see his Dad and sister in FL and some friends in Va while he's gone. Anyway, our Dodge Journey (van) made it up the steep non-paved hill, complete with loose rocks, that was the drive-way to the cabin we stayed in this past week. I have to admit I got pretty scared the first time we did it! :-)
