Double Delight Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

We have 57 different hybrid tea and grandiflora roses in our yard, and there is something we like about each and every one of them.  But if I had to pick one all-time favorite rose (I'm glad I really don't have to do that) I would pick Double Delight.  It's a delight both for its beautiful color and delightful fragrance.

This picture was taken last week.

Hi George! That's a fantastic picture. I saw your post on fb but didn't have time to comment as the wifi here is sketchy from G-burg. Beautiful - but makes me tired to think of having to tend to them all right now. smile. You and Betsy do a great job making the glade a prettier place.

I've always enjoyed things that smell nice. If this flower smells as good as it looks, it is very appropriately named!

Wow, that's an exceptional rose!

Do you really have 57 varieties or is that your Heinz-variety estimate? ;-)

Hi George, What a beauty! We used to have a big bed of hybrid teas and grandiflora roses and Double Delight was one of my all time favorites. We miss our roses. I am so glad that you enjoy them so much. It is so nice to be able to see photos of some of our favorites. Thank you!

Outstanding photo George! What a gorgeous rose! Your garden must look heavenly when the roses bloom, but I have a feeling with all the other beautiful flowers you and Betsy tend to, your garden would look that way at any time of the growing season. Have a great day :)
