Twin Falls
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)
I went to my archives of this photo of Twin Falls in Rock Island State Park here in Tennessee. Twin Falls is somewhat unique in that it did not come into being until the construction of Great Falls Dam. That dam formed Great Falls Lake (on the other side of the hill that you see), and water seeped into caverns inside the hill. The water leaks out this side of the hill forming Twin Falls.

It's always interesting to know how things arrived to be how they are.
It's like knowing that a beaver was responsible for creating the falls by making a beaver dam.
It sure is nice.

Interesting how the falls came about.
It is a beautiful falls.
I automatically expected the water to come from a river on top, the caverns inside the hill was unexpected. I have never noticed something like that before.
Very nice.
That is an interesting story of how the falls are formed.
Nice picture; I love waterfalls. Did they realize that this falls would be created when they built the dam? Or was it a surprise?
