I don't often have luck getting good pictures of the moon, but I rather like this photo of the August crescent moon over the Glade. It was taken in our front yard last year.

I clicked it twice and was stunned to see its texture on the moon. Amazing!!! I have to tell you that we see a smaller moon from here! Ha ha!

Me too George, i seldom get a moon with all the craters. So when i took one, which i can't duplicate anymore, it was like gold for me!
I have never been able to get a good shot of the moon. I do not have the right camera for it I am sure. Give your Dad a hug for me and many more birthday blessings.

Oh George this shot is great! You can even see the craters and the texture, followers should enlarge to really see how awesome it is.
That's a wonderful photo, George! I was pleased to get a good photo of the full moon with my digital camera this month at twilight. If I leave it until it's dark the image is fuzzy.
So beautiful! This is one of my favorite views of the moon. I love the moon from the very sliver crescent to this one here! *sigh*

The texture and colors are quite appealing. I haven't taken any good moon pictures since shifting my focus to portraits. Now that the big wedding I prepped for is over, I still feel drawn to putting people in my viewfinder. Maybe if I get a sturdy tripod...
