Sunset on the Cumberland Plateau

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Late autumn sunsets can be beautiful here on the Cumberland Plateau.  The bright red glow in the sky to the west appeared after the sun had dropped below the plateau to the west.  God's colors are gorgeous.

This picture, from my archives, was taken on a clear November evening.

You really can see a long way away. Out here we can only see the next wooded area we call woods and the adjacent farms. Some of the sunsets we have a colorful.

You have taken some GORGEOUS pictures but this ranks in the top five for sure. Have you considered cropping a third to half of the black off the bottom or do you have it there for balance? Just a thought.
