Rose of the Week: Acapella Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

This is another in the series featuring a rose from our yard.

Since we live in a wooded area, sunny spots for the roses are hard to come by.  That's why we have containers of roses lining the driveway.  We've had Acapella in one of those containers for a couple of years and it's still rewarding us with many beautiful blossoms.

Your roses are beautiful. They show their beauty because they are cared for so tenderly.

Red on the outside and white on the inside. It should be named "Strawberries & Cream"!

What an absolute beauty! The name is so fitting, too...she is classic, and needs no music to illuminate her loveliness.

Sweet color! There is a tinge of deliciousness in the colors.

Dramatic blossom!
Does growing them in containers help control rose diseases?

I have the same problem with roses. But then there is a reason they call the neighborhood where we live "Oak Hill."

It's a pretty one. Looks like it might burst into symphonic melody at any moment, to suit its name.

This one has a very inventive name. :-) Love the two colors. I think I would come up your walk, not make it to the door, walk back away, come up again, and do that over and over, and finally ring the bell! :-)
