Roses from Our Garden: Malibu

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

We may not make it to California to see the beauty of that state in person, but at least we can enjoy this gorgeous Malibu rose right in our own yard.

Simply gorgeous! Pack up Ms. P and Betsy and make that drive across the country, George!

It's a gorgeous flower, and you've captured it beautifully. There is much to see in California. You two are like us...you prefer to drive so you can pack everything you want and go where you want when you want. That makes getting to California a challenge. But it's a trip you ought to try to make someday. Allow yourself three or four weeks if you can, so you can enjoy the journey as well as the destination.

Magnificent rose!! Is it fragrant?

We have a few new ones this year -- Michaelangelo is a gold one with enticing fragrance. I'm also learning how to do cuttings.
