Autumn in the Smokeys

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Autumn colors came to the mountains this year a couple of weeks later than usual.  When My Beautiful Bride and I set out to see the colors, we found plenty of green among the trees.  But there were still some glorious sights to see, such as this view from Newfound Gap Road near Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

I'm thinking this was taken at the Campbell Overlook, one of my favorite views. It's neat to see the colors on the mountainside and the green in the foreground.

Another glorious sight. Yo live in one of my favorite states. So much to see and enjoy there. I am a country fan.

Yes, and it SHOULD be enlarged. It is gorgeous! I love how it shows the shadowing and shape of the mountain. And your header is beautiful! You did a good job of fitting everything in.

How gorgeous. We spent several days in the Park in late fall. We met a couple from Maryville who we are Mayo Clinic as we were. They invited us to stop by and visit on our way from Minnesota to Florida. What fun we had...:)
