Sunset Point, Mt. Nebo

The picture above was taken at Sunset Point in Mt. Nebo State Park, Arkansas, back in November, 2006. Sunset Point provides views of some of the grandest sunsets we have seen.

Betsy and I will be going to Mt. Nebo this week to get in some hiking, searching for waterfalls, and viewing the sunrises and sunsets. Along the way we'll also celebrate my birthday.

I hope you have a great week. We'll be back next Sunday.

The waterfalls must be at the base I am assuming, or are you one a foothill of the bigger mound?

Wow! What a gorgeous sunset! Glad you and Betsy are going back to this lovely spot...hope you have a wonderful birthday! My husband and I always loved hiking but now I have bad knees and chronic fatigue synd. and it's a lot harder for me. I have been walking the three blocks to church on Sundays (well, actually I cheat by taking a short-cut and making it more like two blocks) and that's really a lot for me, but I need the exercise badly! I miss those good-old-days! Hiking is not only wonderful exercise, but you can be so close to nature, and I really did love it!

The isolation of this place and the colour of the sky against those mountains are all so enchanting. A picture that spurs on my imagination.
