Sempervivum (Hens and Chicks) are beautiful succulents which we use in various places around our yard. What we didn't know when we started using them is that the hens bloom just before they die. The blossoms are small, but delicate and pretty. I got this picture back in July.

Great photo of the "hens and chicks". I don't think we have ever had one... but then I'm not much for identifying the flowers.

Once again - - an excellent picture. It's nice to be reminded of flowers in bloom. However I don't miss the heat of summer. I am one of the few who enjoys the colder weather - - - - just don't want snow.
These blooms may be small,but they are very intricate.

I have had these plants but never knew them to bloom. I do believe anything including a stick would bloom for you. This is so pretty. In fact, I have one now I am growing in a pot, but doubt it ever blooms.
As I look out at the snow outside, all I can say is "keep the flowers coming, George!"
