Snow at Cedar Breaks

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

We visited Cedar Breaks National Monument near Cedar City, Utah, on an incredibly beautiful day in June. The roads had been opened for the season three days before we visited, and there was still plenty of snow around. This picture shows the snow at one side of the Visitor Center, as well as the beautiful blue sky we enjoyed that day.

The Nature has painted the sky so blue.

I love how the white snow lays in between the dark brown logs. Its easy to forget there is still snow in places such as this beautiful spot in Utah.
I could use a little of that cooling white stuff right about now, George.

hugs,
Pam

Were you expecting to see that much snow and for it to be so cold? I know you had researched your route well. Had you checked on the temperatures, too, before you left? It is gorgeous though and gave you great diversity on your trip!

Beautiful George. It's hard for me to imagine that there is still snow on the ground in July. That would feel good about now with this summer time heat. Glad you two had a good time.

It snowed in Chile today .
The view is absolutely wonderful.
Can you imagine waking up to white peace and quiet every morning like this in a log cabin and a nice fire place crackling away.

Well, I'm loving other things better than the snow. The cool pine tree reflection and the intense blue sky with those tall trees in front.
