The Two of Us at the Grand Canyon

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

I took this picture (using a tripod and timer) on our first day at the Grand Canyon. The canyon was as grand as the name implies. Our only regret was that pictures can't do the canyon justice -- it needs to be seen to be appreciated.

You could probably do it some justice with an EXTREMELY wide panoramic lens. It has to be seen to be truly appreciated. I still remember our family trip in 1998. Awesome - and unlike most times when that word is overused, this time the word fits!

And yeah!! You are back!! Photographing the desert is one of my FAVORITE things to do. We lived in Utah for 2 years and did every park withing 500 miles-except the Grand Canyon. Cannot wait to see some images- you and Betsy look so happy.
