Flowers From Our Yard: Pink Promise Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

We don't have as many roses blooming once cooler weather arrives, but a hardy few keep going for us. When Pink Promise starts to open, it's possible to see a hint of pink on the edges of the petals. The pink darkens and spreads as the blossom ages.

That is so interesting that the colors change as the flower ages.As usual it is quite beautiful.

A beautiful rose!! Since the inside is darker, I would have thought that as it opens it gets lighter, but it is just the opposite.

Just think how fortunate you are, when the real ones are gone you have your wonderful pictures to look at. You do such a great job with your camera.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on the trip. Yes, we drove in our car as far as TX last time and then rented a truck to pick up some things that both my husband and I and our daughter and her family had had in storage there for the past five years! That was quite a treasure hunt when we went through everything on this end! But, our household goods had stayed behind, and we were not able to go back and get them till this past month. We stayed at our daughter's till then but now we have our own home. Believe it or not, we didn't even get everything on this past trip! Yikes! It's that time in our lives when we need to CULL!!!! :-) Take care--
Marie
