November Roses: Peace

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

We've had several nights with temperatures below freezing, but so far we haven't had a killing frost. As a result some of our roses are continuing to bloom -- they don't pay much attention to the calendar. This blossom on our Peace rose opened yesterday (Sunday). The colors are a little darker than they usually are, but I still think it's a beautiful rose.

The colors, the lighting - just beautiful. After the turmoil of the last couple of weeks, the beauty just spoke to my heart. Thank you for posting this today!

I think I read once that this rose is the alltime favorite hybird tea rose in America if not world wide. And well deserved.

no kiddin. It's gorgeous!!
If you keep the roots warm and fertilized, they bloom for a very long time. Mine bloomed to the end of January after I put my rabbit droppings over it with straw. This you collect in spring but in winter they keep the flower bush really warm.
