The Glory of Autumn

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

The leaves are now gone from the trees, and the weather has turned colder. But this reminder of the glory of autumn brightens my spirits and warms my heart. This picture was taken in our front yard.

A brilliant shock of red in front of the bright blue sky! Was it "October's bright blue" weather? I love coming into your home every day and seeing that warm and inviting header. Betsy shows us the outside, and you show us the inside!

Yes, we too are blessed with the view of a lot of naked trees, so this is a pleasant reminder of just a few weeks ago.

I probably could get up sooner if I had a sight like this every day.

I love that beautiful colour. The sad part is that it last for such a short time.Thankfully photography helps us keep it alive forever.

We only get this gorgeous color for only a short time don't we.
A beautiful reminder George! What a lovely sky you had that day.
It's cold here tonight with possible light snow. :)

Hi again George, i came back and didn't realize you have 3 blogs, i can't imagine how you manage to have them when i have only one and sometimes can't cope sometimes. I bet you and Betsy try to upstage each other in taking photos. hahaha. I came back because of your comment on my site, I know you love waterfalls, so you should go back there and look at my newly placed link for you to see my waterfalls. I am sure you will like the falls, if not my photos!

The good side of it is you don't have to sweep up the dead leaves.
