Mossy Cave Canyon

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Mossy Cave is a less-frequented area of Bryce Canyon.  Betsy and I drove past the trailhead on our way to Arches National Park, and since we knew there was a waterfall in the canyon, we decided to stop and check it out.  The day was beautiful, and the hike through the canyon was spectacular.  The picture above shows some of the rock formations on the way to the waterfall.

The photo would make a good poster with those rock formations against the clear blue sky. I'm wondering if you walked up the trail to those rocks?

Such a blue sky! It doesn't look like those rocks underneath are big enough to hold what's on top.
Looks so lovely George!

We stopped at a place, I believe it was called Red Canyon, just outside of Bryce Canyon a ways, when we were visiting the parks of southern Utah in 2010.
It was gorgeous!
Orange rock & blue sky, vibrant contrast like in your photo - that's what I remember best about our trip.
Spectacular country!

What a dramatic image you've captured here George. The land is so different from what we have in TN and KY, but beautiful in its own right.
