Summer of Love Rose

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I know it’s Spring --although it has seemed like winter the past couple of weeks -- but our roses are starting to show new growth and promise lots of color in the days ahead.  Last year our roses were blooming in April; I don't think that will happen this year.  I got this picture of Summer of Love after an April shower last year.

What a beautiful flower! If you still are having colder weather, then it's probably good that roses don't have buds yet. I would hate to see them get too cold.

I love that ROSE ---and cannot wait to see it --and the others---bloom this Spring and Summer. After a warm February, April certainly has been cold and dreary around here.... It's no wonder the roses are not blooming yet.... Still feels like winter around here!!!!!! ha

Awesome picture.

Love,
Wifey

Wow!! The shades of color in this are gorgeous! Colors that would not normally go together are so stunning here. I think the name is very apt.

A beautiful rose and beautifully photographed, George. It's not as warm yet as it should be for this time of year, but it's warmer than it was a few weeks ago. There's hope. ;)

What a beautiful rose, George. April is sure taking it's time warming up this year. But May should be outstanding!

It's a sweet color. My roses arent doing well. They caught some kind of fungus due to the rainy season :(
