Earlier this spring I spotted this honey bee hard at work in one of our redbud trees. It gave me a good excuse to experiment with my macro lens.
This is an occasional blog containing pictures I have taken over the years.

Nice One!
nice macro.
I love the colour of the blossoms! Looks like the bee does too!
A lovely picture of the redbud, as well. You can even see the bee's eye!
I love this!!!
I need a macro lens too. ;)
Great photo -- and nice to see honeybees again. We're seeing them around here after quite a respite.
Nice shot!! Glad to see them around again.
Great shot. I enjoy experimenting with macro too.

Nice macro. And bees on flowers are always a good topic.
Macro can be so much fun! I looks like this bee has hit the jackpot. Love that color!!
you did a great job on getting the bee in focus. I have tried and tried and mine are always slightly out of focus. i can't get the rebel to focus on just the bee. lovely shot
Excellent.Capturing the bees is not easy as they are almost always on the move.
Blessings,Ruth
Great results from your experiment!

Well now something else is enjoying the flowers :)
One thing is for sure, your experiment paid off. Great shot of the honey bees.
Great clarity and detail in this shot, and I can really appreciate it when enlarged. I love a good insect photo. They're amazing critters.
