A Perfect Rose?
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
I don't know if there is such a thing as a perfect rose, but I think this comes pretty close. Veterans Honor is a rose in our new flower bed, and I got this picture yesterday morning just as the sunlight reached it. This seems a very appropriate rose for Memorial Day weekend.

How appropriate! I purchased that rose two years ago to honor my dad and all veterans and because of the exquisite rose. Unfortunately, it's one of the ones we lost.
That just might be the perfect rose!! It is gorgeous!! Red ones are my favorites anyway!
You got real good color here. My rose pictures tend to be over-saturated.
It certainly is George.
Simply perfect.:)
The sun does seem to be shining on it just right. I think it's perfect.
Pure perfection, George...you are a master gardener for sure.
A beautiful Memorial Day rose to honor our veterans and those now serving our country.
Happy Memorial Day George!!!
You've managed to make this into something elegant -- like a red rose. It is beautiful, George.
Thank you for being so kind, but no one as roses like you and Betsy.
Roses are lovely, it's your national flower isn't it.
it looks perfect to me and I wish I could lean in and smell it.
It's a beautiful rose, George - the colour, the shape, the amount of openness.
No roses blooming here yet!
Really perfect:)
Very approriate rose indeed.
Each summer, when I visit my roses I am always amazed by the perfection of their shape.
