From the Archives: Flowers in Our Yard
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
Most of you know that we have roses in our yard, but we also have quite a few lilies that provide beautiful blossoms and nice fragrance as well. This lily is called Dizzy. I don't know how it got that name, but I sure do enjoy seeing it in bloom.

Dizzy has an enchanting beauty !!!!!!!!!!
The colours are beautiful.
Your lily must be hiberanting right now.
mother loved lilies and had them all over her yard. we called them spider lilies, all of them. dizzy, hummmm
A beautiful flower and I like the name.
It's a dazzling dizzy! Love the clarity of your photo.
I think it should have been called Polka Dot...it is gorgeous!!!
I have a similar looking beauty. Dizzy. Hmmm. There are so many names now of many hybrids. Even the most minute or unnoticable differences require a new name. It's hard to keep track of them all. :)
Similar to Star Gazer, this is a lovely lily!
Maybe if you stare at it long enough you will get dizzy. MB
One gets dizzy when the fragrance is inhaled for an extended time. Lovely flower, George!
She sure is pretty and has spots but the spots do not make anyone dizzy.
Hmmmm So how she get that name :)
Sure is a beauty!! Great image xo
It reminds me a tiny bit of a Tiger Lily, in the pattern, only these colors are maybe prettier.
Lovely one!
Have a great weekend ahead.
Nice looking flower:)
That is a beautiful flower!
Dizzy is a gorgeous lily. The header and the flower seem at odds with each other. :)

Thanks for checking my blog out---your photos are great! What did you teach? I, too, am a teacher.
That's a pretty one. The colors remind me of peppermint candy.

Really beautiful, exotic and seductive.
Does it have a really powerful scent that makes you dizzy?
It's lovely.
Your yard just must be ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Saw your roses on Betsy's which are just STUNNING!! I am not sure I would EVER make it inside ;) LOL
Mm, so beautiful flower, i really liked it..
Saludos mi amigo :)
I like that lily, and I like its name. Both are fun.
Up here, my boxwoods, which stand more than 4 feet tall, are buried, so this vision of summer makes my evening!
