King Creek Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

There wasn't a lot of water going over King Creek Falls when we visited it in August, 2006. But moss covered the little ledges over which the water dropped, and that, along with the pleasant hike through the woods to reach the falls, made it a wonderful place to visit. King Creek Falls is near Mountain Rest, South Carolina.

I think this is just the right amount of water going over the falls. This gives it an almost lacy look.

lots of nice mossy green around it. The water falls look like a horses mane. Beautiful.

Facebook is not so good if the ex students of the school who were 13 or 14 when you didn't really teach, come and want to be your friends, using their Christian names and current photos. And you have no idea who they are.

It was great however, when they comment that they were so glad to find me And (LOL) how much better I look now than before. ( after more than 35 years.)

I think it looks better with that amount of water. That made it gorgeous!

It's pretty with the white water, green background, and interesting formation of the rocks.

I noticed the moss right away. It must be back in the woods a little way for so much to grow.
Lovely!

A pleasant hike and running, trickling falling water. Add a few wildflowers and singing birds.... life is good. Thanks George.

It's actually very nice with less water flowing because we can see the jagged rocks. :)

I like the settings you used to take this photo. Part of the water looks like icicles. The moss was a bonus!
