From My Archives: Strawberry Candy Day Lily

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

One nice thing about photos is that they can bring summer and sunshine even into the dreariest of winter days. Strawberry Candy is a re-blooming daylily that we've enjoyed for several years now. It looks good even in January.

I could use a little summer today. It is now only 11 degrees this morning. I'm waiting for the sun to come up before walking today when it warms up a bit.

That is beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen a lily like that one. Your picture sure is crisp and clear.

You must be way ahead of us in temperature or this might be last year. I like it and have one but it is called some name including "peach."

Nice shot George.

Not sure you are even aware of some of the things I have done, but if you take the time to go to

you can see a kind of history in the right sidebar.

You're kidding me? This was taken just this month? I have never heard of even the re-blooming lilies blooming in the dead of winter!!! It really is a beautiful lily, I love that bit of sunshine in the middle!

That color makes it look tangy and sweet. Hmmm... I wonder if it tastes as good as it looks. Heh, heh.

George I was just thinking today how brown and bleak it looked outside. It didn't help that the skies were gray and overcast.
You are so right. Looking back to brighter days certainly helps with the winder doldrums.
These daylilies are gorgeous!
