From My Archives: Clarence Iris
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)
I find that pictures of beauty to come helps get me through gray winter days. Clarence is a re-blooming iris in our front flower bed, so we get to enjoy it's pretty blossoms in both Spring and Autumn.

So lovely!
love the icy header and when i enlarged this perfect purple flower, i can see the moisture droplets. it is beautiful and is a great way to take away the winter blues.
The Iris is one beautiful flower! Great photo too - showing the moisture - made me feel I was outside looking into the flower bed and breathing in the cool moring air.
It is a beautiful photo. Iris are one of my favorites. I haven't seen this variety before and I do like it.
Thanks for this bit of spring sunshine!
This is a beauty. I am waiting to see how my Irises will do this year.I had to move several of them to make room for the deck.
this is just beautiful!

the header is beautiful as well.
You're right: beautiful flowers brighten up dark winter days.
Thanks for the congratulations on the birth of my second granddaughter.
fresh morning dew on a pretty flower
Always a joy to see :)
What a beautiful shock of blue beauty!! And try saying that five times real fast! But really they need to change the name to something more fitting!
Its a beauty George - you should see mine.
always beautiful to see a flower in the depth of winter and this one dressed in drops of water.
Before you know it they will be blooming again. : )
I look forward to summer flowers!
Cheers from Cottage Country!
Your flowers are always stunners, George. Wow! The detail, the many textures of the iris--amazing!
Beautiful color! Love both the bright and delicate, pale violet of it.
Wishing you warm days ahead. I've been reading about the cold snap up north, and it has made me realize that I would rather have our heat anytime. At least, it's easier to survive.
Beautiful color to overcome the white winter.
beautiful flower !
and
beautifully captured
thanks
It's lovely George!
You've reminded me again that I need to look for some of these reblooming ones. They bloom in Spring then are gone so quickly. A rebloom in the fall would be lovely.
We already have crocuses up around town. The iris will be up in April if this keeps up. This one is really a beauty- I will need to look into ordering it- I grew up in a town called Clarence NY.
Superb macro, love the light, color and texture, beautiful.
