From My Archives: Clarence Iris

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I find that pictures of beauty to come helps get me through gray winter days. Clarence is a re-blooming iris in our front flower bed, so we get to enjoy it's pretty blossoms in both Spring and Autumn.

The Iris is one beautiful flower! Great photo too - showing the moisture - made me feel I was outside looking into the flower bed and breathing in the cool moring air.

It is a beautiful photo. Iris are one of my favorites. I haven't seen this variety before and I do like it.

Beautiful color! Love both the bright and delicate, pale violet of it.

Wishing you warm days ahead. I've been reading about the cold snap up north, and it has made me realize that I would rather have our heat anytime. At least, it's easier to survive.

It's lovely George!
You've reminded me again that I need to look for some of these reblooming ones. They bloom in Spring then are gone so quickly. A rebloom in the fall would be lovely.

We already have crocuses up around town. The iris will be up in April if this keeps up. This one is really a beauty- I will need to look into ordering it- I grew up in a town called Clarence NY.
