Little River Canyon National Preserve
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)
Betsy and I have visited Little River Canyon National Preserve near Fort Payne, Alabama several times. The Scenic Drive along the rim of the canyon offers several overlooks with views of the canyon and river below. This photograph of the river taken in February, 2010.

What a pretty picture! Enjoy your day, George.
There's more of that colorful water. I love it!
Love your header. How nice in the tropics to have frozen twigs for childtrn to suck on.
these are really pretty rapids, i can almost hear the water running over the rocks.
The river must flow at high speed here!
I so enjoy all of your water shots, they are peaceful. (o:
It maybe an old photo, but the beauty of nature still abounds.
I really like the color of blue that the water projects and the motion of the water running downhill must be quick. Great photo.

Looks a long way down George.
You are such a great hiker. Me and my cat did a little forest walk. He didn't like the snow.
Cheers from Cottage Country!

Nice shot.
Like this watery picture..
We haven't been to Alabama but I would dearly love to take this scenic drive along Little River Canyon.
Thanks for sharing the beauty, George.
Be well and happy,
Pam :)
Rushing water always seems to have a life of its own. Very nice. Of course, I always wonder if trout live there... :)
The flow captured so well.
The color of the water is gorgeous! Never been to Alabama and this might be a good reason to go. :)
