Summer of Love Rose

Summer of Love is one of our newer roses growing in a container along our driveway. It has a beautiful pastel color and a wonderful form. The blossoms maintain their shape very well, and Summer of Love has become a favorite with us. It has a very mild 'spice' fragrance.

Bewitched Rose

Bewitched was one of our first roses to bloom this year. It's a beautiful pink rose with a wonderful form. It also has a very pleasant fragrance. All in all this is one of our favorite roses.

Cane Creek Falls

Betsy and I visit Fall Creek Falls State Park here in Tennessee several times each year -- it's a special place for us. It also has five major waterfalls and is where we started our waterfall 'collection'. Cane Creek Falls is one of those waterfalls and is one of the first we saw together.

An Almost Super Moon

We didn't see the Super Moon on Saturday night because of heavy clouds and storms at our location. But we had a beautiful, clear sky Sunday night and I captured this picture of the moon as it rose off Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.

Mount Nebo Sunset

Sunsets on Mount Nebo in Arkansas are often spectacular, which is one reason Betsy and I keep going back there. I went to my archives for this picture of a setting sun taken in March of last year.

By The Sea

I truly enjoy living in the mountains, but I also love the seashore. A familiar scene can change in a day, or even an hour. We can see this pier from the Islander Inn. Often the sea is calm and blue. On the day this picture was taken the surf was up and had a silver sheen.

Ocean Isle Beach

Betsy and I spent a week at one of our very favorite places -- Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. The weather was nearly perfect, and we practically had the beach to ourselves part of the time. The picture above does a fairly good job of showing why we like this place so much.

All That Jazz Tulip

Our irises and roses began blooming so early that I didn't have an opportunity to share many of our Spring blossoms. All That Jazz is a pretty multi-colored tulip that we've enjoyed for a couple of years now.

Change in the Weather Coming

Betsy and I went to Asheville, North Carolina, in early April. The weather was perfect for much of the morning, but rain was forecast for later in the day. While at a rest area in the mountains I captured this image of blue skies and white clouds with darker clouds starting to move in.
