By The Sea

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I truly enjoy living in the mountains, but I also love the seashore. A familiar scene can change in a day, or even an hour. We can see this pier from the Islander Inn. Often the sea is calm and blue. On the day this picture was taken the surf was up and had a silver sheen.

Did you venture onto that pier? Was it dizzying?

This is a very elegant shot George. The photo gives me the feeling that the pier is dividing up the space between the sea and the air. Nicely done!

Lovely and I wish to take a walk on the bridge in the beach. However beaches are always beautiful.

That is sooooooo beautiful, especially when enlarged to full size. It looks like I am standing on the beach.

the view of this beach from a mountain would be awesome
Standing on the beach itself is something as well :)

There's a lot of great texture in this image. It's especially visible when enlarged.

Nice shot with the pier in the background. The sea is so calming. When I get the chance to visit the ocean, I love to walk on the beach and listen to the waves.

You love mountain, and sea.

How about the sky.

Then you should have loved everything.

A good day to you.

It's beautiful, George. I do love the ocean, too. I grew up less than a mile from the Atlantic Ocean and in my mind I can still smell the salty air and hear the foghorn. But I also love Ontario. :))

So beautiful, that sea! And the water...so clear! There are some people over the pie...I think...
I do live by the mountains and I love it here...But the nearest beach I have is about 1hour and 40 minutes driving!

Hugs for you and Betsy,
Bshell

So gorgeous! I spent an off-season vacation at Nags Head with my parents a number of years ago and remember the peacefulness of our time there so fondly!
