WOW! What an awesome building! BEAUTIFUL! I was also taking a look at all your posts I have missed. I have to say I dearly LOVE your macros. Such clarity!! Beautiful, beautiful work. Have a great day! Brenda
Only in America ! lol I always wanted a house with columns like this.Well, maybe with not so many lol Maybe three of four columns. I am still waiting and I think the Parthenon is the closest I will come to walking between them. Nice shot George!!
It boggles the mind to think how people in ancient cultures built such magnificent things, and yet somehow, we consider ourselves to be enlightened or advanced. Maybe our tools are more advanced, but I have a ton of respect for the ancients who figured out how to do such things.
I like your picture. The light is good, and it helps to click (and enlarge) the image for looking more closely at the impressive details.
We went to that several years ago. Unfortunately, they were doing construction so I couldn't get pictures from every angle that I wanted. You got a great shot...better than any I got. Thanks for sharing.
I so loved walking through the Parthenon. I took many photos, also. It is an amazing replica, from the immense columns to the details, it is quite the slice of life, both past and present.
