Mountains and Clouds

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

As most of you know, Betsy and I love the mountains -- the Smoky Mountains here in Tennessee and the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina and Virginia. We enjoy visiting the mountains just about any time of the year.

The picture above shows the view in late November from Craggy Gardens on the Blue Ridge Parkway north of Asheville, North Carolina. I really like the clouds and mountains stretching to the horizon.

Looks like some of those clouds may have had some rain.

Very pretty. It's interesting how clouds just seem to gravitate to mountains sometimes.

Those are some clouds. Nature is always changing and we love watching. Feels like home doesn't it.

I like the contrast of the colors - - the brown & shadows in front and the pretty blue and sunshine in the back. Kind of like the "Wizard of Oz" Movie when it switches from black & white to color.

Before scrolling down to your description thought this shot may have been from your trip out west--it has that feel.

I look forward to some photos of the Blue Ridges covered with snow. In the meantime, the contours of the mountains are just so dramatic here.
