Golden Koi

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Garvan Woodland Gardens near Hot Springs, Arkansas has more than beautiful flowers and plants. It also has a koi pond with some beautiful (and large) koi. I was able to get this picture as he swam past me.

Do the coi come in other colors? Are they carp?

Golden fish! They must be quite brave to be on those shallow waters.

Oh this is wonderful to keep in a pond but I am not sure it would last with all the raccoons I have here.:)

What an absolutly stunniung color!! I sometimes wonder why these ponds are so shallow. Perhaps the fish don't mind, and it gives us a better view.

Maybe someday mine will get that big.
I'm away from home but wanted to check in on my favorite friends. Hope you and Betsy are enjoying the days. :)
