Angel Falls
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
A large waterfall such as Niagara can fill a person with awe at the power of the water roaring over the falls. Smaller waterfalls can exude peace and tranquility. Angel Falls, in north Georgia, is a quiet little fall in which the water serenely flows over many thin layers of rock.

That is like a staircase. Beautiful waterfall and lovely photo!
Good Morning George, What a lovely photograph. I love the staircase of rock. I wish you and Betsy a very nice day.
Water goes down the staircase, but we choose to hike and go up.
this makes me think of the angels coming down when Jacob was dreaming. i can see these as Angel Steps for sure. bet that is why they named it that. I think this one is my favorite of all your falls you have posted. i would love to see and hear this one and feel that peaceful feeling.
I think this fall would be perfect to sit nearby it..just taking in all the beauty that God has given us. A very restful photo indeed.
Beautiful, George, and so fitting on this day -- at 10:00 it was already 94! How wonderful to just sit in those falls or sit by them and let the mist cool us.
It looks like stairs with flowing waters...huh!!! another wonder of nature...I love it!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures and hoping to see more!
It's not the water that fascinates me this time, it's those rocks!
Beautiful falls and a name like that just says peace.
Blessings,Ruth
I'm sure I'd enjoy this one more. You got a beautiful picture of it!
That is so pretty George.
I often enjoy the small waterfalls even more than the big ones. I can feel the peace in this one.
Sometimes, ok, usually Mother nature makes things SO much prettier than we can. This is the case here.
It is beautiful and the kind I like. The big thunder ones are grand but this kind you can just enjoy. MB
Oh I really love this one.
I can look at it forever!!!
I think Niagara Falls is gorgeous but I think I prefer the smaller ones. This is lovely.
You know how I love these cascades over multi-level rocks! "Peace and tranquility" are not words that can be used for Niagara. :D
I found your blog from a comment you made on Ruth's and decided to visit. You've got some very nice photos here and I'm glad I found you. These are some beautiful falls and I'm always drawn to beautiful falls. I'll be back to see more of your work.
