National Rose Month: Sonia
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
We've had showers off and on over the past week. Sonia is one of the roses we grow in a container along the driveway. I got this picture of Sonia early in the morning after an overnight shower.

Awesome photograph George. What a lovely color! Thank you for sharing your roses with us through your pictures. They bring joy to so many.
I experimented with growing a container rose a few years ago. I picked up a small Austin, Eglantyne and put it in a 15 gallon pot with a clematis. It was a show stopper when the clematis and rose both bloomed at the same time. Predictably I got tired of watering the combination twice a day and unpotted them:) Marnie
George, can I have Sonia? What a joy it would be to have it to greet you in the morning! you and Betsy were so blessed to have the wonderful creations around you.

She looks clean and charming after the shower.
Sonia is one of my all time favorite roses. Too bad we can't enjoy the fragrance.
Do you have Moonstone by any chance?
Good morning George. What a love bloom.

Beautiful photo! I love seeing the water droplets on the bloom.
My officemate will be tickled pink to find out that there's a rose with her name! And such a unique color too.
