It's been so hot and humid over the past week that I decided a picture from a cooler day would help me feel better. The picture above was taken last October on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Wesner Bald Overlook in North Carolina.

I love this photo George. I fell in love with the mountains during junior college days and Autumn especially is such a spectacular show with the foliage and clear blue skies.
here in heat/humidity I can only dream of cooler days and mountain breezes. the photo helped a Tad...
One can really see why it's called 'The Blue Ridge' in that photo!
One of your falls pictures would make us all feel a little cooler, too!
It doesn't seen that long ago that I was moaning about the cold of winter but like you, I came across a winters scene in my photo collection and thought how nice.
I like the sense of wide open space in your pic.
Lovely waves of Autumn colors.
☼ Sunny
October is more to my liking than hot summer weather too. Thanks!
Makes me wonder how you define hot and humid. If it's anything like how my brother defines it, I'd be cold there! ;)
Wonderful scenery and colors!
I have been enjoying all the flowers in recent posts, but this picture shows that there is such beauty in every season.Thanks.
Blessings,Ruth
It must be hot and humid all over. It certainly is here.
Thanks for the reminder it won't always be.
My place is as hot as yours, I think so.
What an exciting scenery. Golden color and blue - Superb color combination.
What a pretty place. Looks like it would be great for hiking.
At least three different shades of cool blues here. Kind of refreshing when it's in the mid 90's here. They almost glow.
thanks for the photo... it is really cool at least to me, sitting at Delhi and struggling against 45 C
the photo is nice when enlarged. Nature is really a wonder....look how the colors were blended to create such a beautiful scene!
I am not a big fan of hot and humid weather either. Last night we got home from a grill-out at a friend's house, and it was such a relief to get back to an air-conditioned home!!!
This is such a beautiful photo. And it does remind me of cooler days. However I am enjoying the summer's warmth here after such a long winter. Today there is finally no humidity so its perfect in the 70s.
Love this beautiful scenery.
I wished we had mountains here in the Netherlands. It's still cold here, though sunny and that makes a difference.
All those waves of blue mountain extending in to the distance does make me feel cool. The fall colors are lovely, too.
