Ocean Isle Pier I
(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)
The pier on Ocean Isle Beach is a landmark we can see from the Islander Inn, our favorite place to stay when we're at the beach. This picture of the pier was taken on a sunny day in May, 2009.

Oh, does this look inviting after all the snow and ice yesterday!
Hi George, just dropped in from Scott's blog (finding another view) and enjoyed your posts. It's great fun being retired and able to go for walks with a camera and we do it a lot! Please do feel free to stop into our blog place at: thefrogandpenguinn.blogspot.com - we are almost neighbors, well at least we are both in the southern part of the US. We do enjoy and reply to all comments and visitors.
That's a beautiful view George, I can see why you enjoy going there. If it makes you feel any better, the wind is cold here tonight and it's 50 degrees here now. Sure hope the sunshine brings us a little warmth tomorrow. I hope you get some relief too! :)
I'm a happily married retiree living on the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee. I taught for 31 years and worked as a systems analyst for 9 years before retiring.

I love all the clear blues and that sand!
Looks nice and warm. I don't like extreme heat, but could use a little warmth right now.
Did you stop by my Hiking blog again? Hiked to another waterfall yesterday. This time it was Placerita Falls.
