Upper Big Branch Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Betsy and I have been to the area around Erwin, Tennessee, a couple of times to visit waterfalls. There are many small waterfalls in the area, but a waterfall doesn't have to be big to be interesting. Upper Big Branch Falls is small, but had a wonderful flow when we visited in December, 2009.

All that gushing water must have made a wonderful sound. You need a video camera for your waterfalls, George. (hint, hint)

Very nice. I was supposed to go on a hike today with my friend Linda but something came up and we couldn't go. Darn.

The flow and twist are wonderful.

I love flowing water. It can be a trinkle or a full fledged waterfall. It's all peaceful to me.
I haven't managed to learn slowing down the speed of the water when I take photos and I really like this George.

Looks like an artist's master piece. Wasn't there flooding in Tennessee last year? Was this place spared?

I agree that a waterfall doesn't have to be BIG to be attractive. This is very nice the way it appears to twist. Nice shot, George.

I have not ever and never will see as many waterfalls as you. I find all you share very interesting.
