Gazebo in the Moonlight

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

I keep trying my hand at night photography. I'm not always successful, but I do like this picture of a gazebo under a full moon. The picture was taken at the Islander Inn on Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, back in December, 2010.

Very nice. A full moon and a gazebo - very romantic.

You did good this time, George. It's beautiful!! Did you use a tripod? The shutter stays open so long on night setting, even steady hands don't seem to work for me.

Look at the moon. It was staring at you while you took the picture of the gazebo. It's neat.

I like this, George. I've tried to take a few night shots and agree they are hard to get right. That's why you rarely see them on my blog. :)

I think you are doing great with your night work. I never figured it out on my little digital. Now I cannot do anything, but take pictures. It had a little accident. I may have to get a new one.

Gazebos are great, but a gazebo by the beach is FANTASTIC!

i like that shot! It almost seems unreal (maybe it's those lights spiraling up the trees), but it is very clear and sharp for a night shot.
