Bald River

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

Betsy and I have often visited Bald River Falls near Tellico Falls, Tennessee, but back in June, 2010, I hiked along the river above the falls. Bald River is a pretty stream with water tumbling over ledges and rocks.

Beautiful, George! I haven't been on top at the falls in years now. I caught the largest rainbow trout I've ever caught on the head of Bald River. It's a beautiful stream.

The water looks like it is moving along at quite a rapid pace! Beautiful to view. With the temps today, it makes you want to return to summer in your mind.

You two have been lucky seeing all these great falls, and not slipping into one. I doubt you know how many you have seen.

Another beautiful falls.

I was wondering if the rocks are slippery. The river's I've been to never let me walk smoothly in the presence of rocks below the water.

I like to go on a trek in the river. I was under cover as I was very near to the door when I too the photo, I was quite dry until I crossed the road.

Those falls are inviting. Water that can move is very appealing to me up here in Connecticut as we face a very cold night!

Someplace there is some great troutfishing. I think so because one of the all time classic troutflies is called the "Tellico." I've tied a few myself. :)
