From My Archives: Hurricane Falls

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

This picture of Hurricane Falls was taken in May, 2010. We had stopped by Tallulah Gorge State Park in Georgia, when we were on our way to the beach. We didn't have time on this trip to hike to the bottom of the canyon, but I got this picture of the waterfall from a short hike along the south rim of the gorge.

You always wonder what comes down these falls and then stays in the pool below or keeps running down more inclines.
Are there any fish? Do people put any little fish to grow in these run offs?
Do they have frogs or some other kind of life in them? They are very beautiful and soothing to watch:)

A gorgeous capture.

Yep, to answer a Lady's Life - I'm quite sure there are fish in the water when I see a picture like this one. I'd be tempted to grab my fly-rod and make a few casts for trout! Beautiful shot, George.

A beautiful series of falls with a terrifying name we southerners don't like to hear.
Enjoy your weekend with your sweetheart, George.

Big or small waterfalls always captivate. And moving water always draws us fisherman. :)

Well, what do you know! Those falls are the spitting image of some we visited last year in Northern OZ!!

Love your 'blog snow' - great to feel a virtual shiver as we suffer through a summer heatwave downunder!

I think you took this shot from a lovely angle. Sorry you didn't have time to hike to the bottom. Guess you'll have to go back. :))

So lovely! And the pool after the falls looks like a nice place to go swimming.
