Upper Waterfall on Falls Run

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

The Upper Waterfall on Falls Run in Blackwater State Park in West Virginia .is not off a park trail. To reach it I had to bushwhack down the stream from the road. I couldn't get real close because of rocks, boulders, fallen trees and rhododendron. But I did get close enough to get this picture of the pretty 17-foot waterfall.

This is a very healthy waterfall
So pure and white and satiny. I would have loved to sit there and watch it all day.

First, really like your new blog header--it says "spring." And this waterfall photo is just so clean and crisp--the falls appear to break evenly and fine detailing of the trees along the frame of the photo is just very nice. Worth the struggles to get to a good shooting spot.

Now this image is stunning! I love how there seem to be step of water... I would like to stand under a waterfall like that...well if it was big enough. Great shot...
